Yes...it is GIRLS NIGHT. And Yes...I did pick up some Skinny Girl Margaritas.
Never tried them before. They JUST arrived in WA. So me and a few girlfriends are gonna test drive them. Crossing fingers that they are YUMMY. I'm sure they aren't as good as my delicious margaritas....BUT I think they are more figure friendly. And THAT is always a good option!!!
I'm ready to go!

Raise Your Glass
I LOVE PINK!!!
Raise Your Glass
Right right, turn off the lights
We gonna lose our minds tonight
What's the dealio?
I love when it's all too much
5 AM turn the radio up
Where's the rock and roll?
Party crasher, panty snatcha'
Call me up if you are gangsta'
Don't be fancy
Just get dancey
Why so serious?
So raise your glass if you are wrong
In all the right ways
All my underdogs, we will never be, never be
Anything but loud
And nitty gritty dirty little freaks
Won't you come on, and come on, and
Raise your glass
Just come on and come and
Raise Your Glass!
Slam slam oh hot damn
What part of party don't you understand?
Wish you'd just freak out (freak out already)
Can't stop coming in hot
I should be locked up right on the spot
It's so on right now (so fuckin' on right now)
Party crasher, panty snatcha'
Call me up if you a gangsta'
Don't be fancy
Just get dancey

Oh shit my glass is empty...
that sucks !
So if you're too school for cool (I mean...)
And you're treated like a fool (treated like a fool)
You could choose to let it go
We can always, we can always
party on our own...
So raise your (Aw fuck)

Friday night ramblings
David and I just finished watching Repo Men with Jude Law and Forest Whitaker. The ending came out of no where. Just when I was satisfied that the movie came full circle and was neatly tied up in a bow; the ending changed and I was left going "HUH?". I love movies that make me think...but kinda wish this one had ended with a nice, fluffy ending. Although it really wasn't a nice, fluffy movie.
Jude Law? WOW! Never really gave much thought to him till tonight. He's HOT. WOW! (not as hot as my beloved Ben...but a real close second).
Forest Whitaker? Dang, he is so talented. I don't think I have seen him in anything that I haven't liked.
One thing, I think my husband loves about me is I love action movies. Matter of fact, most of our movie dates are action movies. He has no problem watching chick flicks, but we usually reserve those for watching at home. I prefer to see the action movies on the big, movie screen. But the older I get the more I love action movies without all the blood and guts. Repo Men had plenty of it...got me a bit squeamish at times. But I thought it was good. The concept of repo'ing organs when the paitent can't pay for them; kind makes me nervous though................
Did you hear they Transformers 3 is in 3D? WOOHOO......just gotta wait till July!
UPDATE: Yes, I am a dork....I realized that I posted Friday Night Ramblings....on SATURDAY night. OOPS, a day late and a dollar short.....

The Light is Reborn
The Light is reborn.
In the greatest darkness
Out of Winter's cold
From our deepest fears
When we most despair
When all seems lost
When the earth lies waste
When animals hide
From fallen leaves
When the river is frozen
When the ground is hard
From the midst of the wasteland
When hope is gone
Out from the hard times
Shadows are fleeing
Light is returning
Warmth will come again
Summer will be here once more
Plants will grow again
Animals will be seen once more
Life will continue
Green will come again
Death is not forever
The Sun is back
He is born again.

Full Circle Farm
Yesterday, I mentioned picking up my vegetables from Full Circle Farm. I thought I would take some time to share what they are about and why I love them so much!!
Full Circle Farm is a local farm that provides farm fresh organic food. I started with them about a year ago and LOVE them. They offer a program of buying a subscription to their FARM TO YOU program. For a weekly fee, I get a box of tasty organic produce. They have several "pick up" spots around Puget Sound. (I pick mine up at Grilla Bites, in Snohomish).
Their box of "goodies" is available year round (which is not always the case in other local CSA type farms). In my box I get food grown from their farm, food grown at other local organic farms and occasionally out of state organic farms. They have a network of organic farms that help supplement my box each week to provide a well balanced variety
Another thing I love about them; is thier Green Grocery. I can add other products to my box each week. Depending on the season they offer cheese, herbs, freshly baked bread, chocolate, tea, coffee and even flowers. They are currently looking into providing milk and meats!!!
Before I joined them, last year, I did a lot of research into other farms. I feel that Full Circle Farm is the best out there. ONE thing I liked was if I didn't want to...I didn't need to buy a YEAR subscription. I could do weekly subscriptions. Also, most of my subscription is managed online. I get a weekly email that lists the upcoming selections in my box. I can go online and make substitutions, shop from the Green Grocery or even cancel a week if I am out of town.
The most important thing to me is I totally trust them. If they provide produce from other farms....I know I can trust that farm too.
In this age of Fast Food and highly processed food; I think that eating 'greener' is very important. Becoming a member of Full Circle Farm was the first step for me. A step that I am so happy I made!!!
Check out their FAQ's for more info. Make sure you take the time to really explore their site too. They have lots of good info regarding why organic food is so good for us...and the enviroment.
I'm off to gobble up the rest of that Pasta Primavera........all made with vegetables from Full Circle Farm!!!

SHOPPING!
Oh such fun! I got to go shopping for clothes today. My sister-in-law (and one of my bestest girlfriends) took me to the mall. It was fun to get out of the house, it was fun to go with a girlfriend to help pick out outfits with, it was fun modeling the clothes for someone else and it was fun going out to lunch. We laughed, chatted and had a great time.
We are going to L.A. for the weekend. We both are Cookie Lee Consultants; she is a full time consultant while I am a Personal Shopper....mostly for MYSELF. Anyway this weekend is their annual convention. So we are heading out of town for that. And of course we needed new clothes for our trip. LOL
So now I feel all fashionable! Unfortunately this is more of a business trip than pleasure. Not a whole lot of site seeing..but we will try to squeeze some in on Sunday before we have to head home.
Now I have only tomorrow to pack, make a grocery list for David, pick up the house AND run last minute errands.

Kitchen Obsession
Every since the city announced they want to buy our house, to tear down and build a road; I continue to look at available homes in my area. If it were up to me....we would stay put. I love my house! I admit that there are things about the layout that I am not crazy about and the bedrooms are a bit lacking. But I am happy here.
Mostly I love my kitchen! And I have yet to find ANYTHING that comes close to it. It is warm and cozy....and big. And I have a TV in it. And a lazyboy. I spend most of my day in the kitchen.
This is my kitchen as you walk in the back door. Back door? Yep, this is the door that EVERYONE uses...except strangers or first time guests. In this picture if you look across the kitchen/dining area...you can see the front door. It's a nice shiny front door...since no one uses it. And the large china cabinet? In the middle is a section that opens up to reveal my kitchen TV:-) Orange hallway leads to bedrooms and other end of house where our family room is. That kitchen table is over 10 years old. Scarred with D's name, he carved with his fork. And many nail polish smudges from the girls.

As you walk into my kitchen and look to the right...there is the KITCHEN part. Large pantry next to the fridge and a nice window over the sink that looks out over our back deck into the back yard.

Standing at beginning of orange hallway, looking into dining room; you can see my old fireplace/wood stove. This is the one that is so temperamental. Most winter days it gets so blazing hot that I could cook in my swimsuit. LOL And to the right of fireplace is my beloved 'area'. The lazyboy. I spend HOURS sitting in that chair; watching TV while reading, making menu's or just spacing out.

Now from front door looking back, you can see the back door that everyone uses. And to the right is the garden window. We received that garden window from a friend who removed it during a home remodel. David installed it, we picked out pretty tile and redid the entire thing. It is filled with plants (some alive...some dead), birdhouses, and lots of rocks from various travels.

When I recently complained that I would miss this kitchen, it was homey and warm; my sister in law told me its because I made it that way. I'm sure she is right. But it has so much character that I am unsure I will ever replace. Or maybe its just all the good times I have had here? Just the other night, I sat in my recliner with the lights off and just candles lit. I sat there for a few hours; thinking there was no better place in the world. Will I be able to do this in a new kitchen? Will it feel 'right'? Or will I be stuck in a cold kitchen with no character or warmth to it?
That is my fear. We will move and I will HATE my kitchen.....

Best Margarita's EVER

1 can light beer (we used Bud Light)
1 can Sprite
1 can Tequila (use the empty can from the Limeade)
I add fresh sliced limes, serve over ice, do not blend!!
Me and my girlfriend just polished off two pitchers of these and declared them the BEST Margarita's EVER!
TRY THEM.
*sadly we didn't think to take a BEFORE picture with the pitcher FULL of margarita's.

Lazy Sunday.
Last night D had Homecoming. After the dance he came home to change then headed to his dates house for a bonfire and movies. (Her parents organized it and were there). He was supposingly getting a ride home from a buddy. Well guess what? The buddy flaked on him and left WAY early. So guess who got to wake up and pick him up at 3:30 in the morning. UGH
So today I am really tired. Sitting here catching up on blogs, while I am guzzling coffee to keep me awake. The tv is on in background being flipped back and forth between football and Nascar.
Even though I am exhausted. I really do love a lazy day like this. NO place to run to, no one expecting me to do anything. Just LAZY.
And I love it!!!!

I Love My Reality TV
Okay, so I admit it. I am a reality TV junkie! I think I watch more of it than any other type of programing!
My faves are any that deal with cooking (Top Chef, Hells Kitchen, Next Food Network Star) and any that deal with health/losing weight. (isn't that such a contradiction????) I also watch anything on Bravo. I really haven't gotten into the Bachelor ones or Big Brother. But everyone else I know seems to enjoy them. For some reason they aren't my cup of tea.
But the smuttiest one I love? Is the new Rock of Love with Bret Michaels. OMG...where do they find some of those girls. Sometimes I feel its like a train wreck. I am soooo embarrassed to watch these girls, but I can't look away!
I seriously plan my night around reality TV!

Back to Reality...once more
UGH, I so hate coming home from vacations.
This last one was EXTRA great. Sunshine the entire week yet not too hot to enjoy it. Of course that could be because of the unlimited exposure to the pool and the lake. :-)
Was so relaxing. Spent lots of time on the boat, zipping around; also lots of time in the pool, just relaxing. We had good food, drinks and conversation. Even had a few nights out to the local bar for some more drinks and hilarious karoake!!!
As usual, I didn't want to leave. Now I am doing some serious daydreaming of owning a vacation house there. Daydreaming being the key word here!!! LOL
So back to my boring life. LOL.....
