Drifting away....
I'm off with my family to our cabin on the river.
I CANNOT WAIT. I need some R&R and possibly a lot of 7&7's. LOL
My plan is to put on my grungy clothes, grab a drink and the tunes, and pull my favorite deck chair down to the river.
Happy Memorial Day Weekend to everyone!!!!

Random Confession: Fine piece of Ass
Today, while doing the elliptical at the gym, I was mesmerized by the girls ass in front of me. I couldn't quit staring at it. It was the perfect ass. Round, tight, lifted and not a bit of cellulite...yet curvy.
I am inspired!

The crows seemed to be calling his name, thought Caw.
Tuesday. My day to sleep in. To snuggle under the covers for a few extra hours and be dead to the world.
Not THIS Tuesday.
5 am we woke up to a couple of crows having a bitch-fest in our backyard. They were loud....and annoying...and non stop.
My husband got out of bed and tried to shoo them away from the window. A bit later I got up and went to back door and actually threw a shoe in backyard to startle them away.
They weren't going anywhere. They ranted and raved for an hour, while I tried to sleep with my head firmly under my pillow. (no such luck)
Finally they stopped but the damage was done. My anticipated sleepy Tuesday morning was ruined. Now I am up, in a fog and PISSED!
(title inspired by my sister in laws love of Jack Handy quotes)

HNT: The View from the Top
My Mothers Day
My Mothers Day was good. The entire family (including brother and his family, my grampa and my mom) all went to the cabin. Spent the day there; visiting, eating and drinking mimosa's. :-)
Some highlights:
~~ In my card from the kids, my oldest daughter (19) wrote "you are a fucking awesome mom". When I read it aloud everyone assumed my son (16) wrote it.
~~ Offered the 19 year old a mimosa. She took a drink and said it was too alcoholy for her. The 16 year wants a sip. He does...then almost downs the glass. I take it from him and he says "hey, you offered her some, why not me". The 19 year old says "Because you ACTUALLY want it". LOL Words were never more true!!!!
~~ my youngest daughter (12) gave me a coupon for a free foot rub. And when she gave it to me, she says "I'm really gonna regret this". She has yet to honour her coupon. LOL
I think the best part of the day was my son actually spending time with us and appeared to like us for the day. LOL
Hope all the other moms out there enjoyed their big day.

Random Confession: My brothers car
A few weeks back, my brother let me drive his new Mercedes. He wasn't real picky on when I returned it.
While I was driving in the neighborhood, I stopped to chat with a neighbor. Her VERY LARGE dog jumped up on the drivers door!
Needless to say I drove it straight back to his house and handed him the keys!
(no I didn't say anything, but as far as I can tell....no scratches.)

FIESTA!
UM, Did I really need to celebrate Cinco De Mayo, ALL....WEEKEND....LONG???
Seriously, how many Margaritas AND Coronas can a person drink? And where does one draw the line on how many tacos, beans, rice, chips, salsa and guacamole they eat in one weekend?
If I planned it better, I would have had Guinness World Records standing by.
From here on out its ice water and salads.
:-)

Remembering Renee'
The other night I started a new book. I was a few pages into it and I thought 'oh man, I need to email Renee' about this one. She will love it'. As I was thinking that....something didn't feel right about the thought. Then I remembered. Renee' passed away 3 years ago!
The thing is, Renee' wasn't my best friend....nor were we extra close. We met in a moms group. We did spent a lot of time together...in the group. Even went camping together several years in a row. And we each were better friends with others in the group.
But we shared two common interests. Good books..........and Rock & Roll. LOL We were the same age...a bit older than most of the other moms. So we had similar tastes in music. She was a HUGE Bon Jovi fan; I was/am a HUGE Motley Crue fan. And we also loved reading. Similar styles in we loved books that made us laugh.
Most of our friendship was online. She would email me when she would info on Motley Crue, I would email her the newest gossip I found on Bon Jovi. We always emailed each other book recommendations. Many times we had the same "to read" lists. We both LOVED Janet Evanovich books. Even spent a good deal emailing back and forth about the characters.
As the kids got older the moms group gatherings got more sporadic. I still keep in touch with a few of the gals, even though we have all gone in different directions. A few years back I got a phone call that Renee' had cancer. Was in the hospital. We all got together and visited her. Several months later; Renee' died. Once again, many of us got together and attended her memorial.
I am sad that she isn't here anymore. I am sad that I often think to email her a pic of Jon Bon Jovi or a new book title, only to remember she is no longer with us. I am sad I didn't know her better.
